Smart Medical Technologies' RFID Read/Write System
SMT's RFID product line includes variety of hardware to perform tagging, tracking and information
management between various Smart Specimen containers such as the Smart Test Tube, Smart Wrist Band,
Smart Blood and Specimen Vials and containers.
To accomplish this task, SMT has developed a series of Read/Write system to allow healthcare workers
to transfer information onto or from the named hardware.
The low profile Smart Tube Tagging device illustrated is for use in hospital, patient office environment
where mobile hand-held read write device is ideal and is used in conjunction with the Smart Test Tube in
blood sampling and tracking.
The device connects to PC platform via USB connection and driven by the Etrims software (details in software section)
to communicate with the ME-2 RFID Chip. SMT's read write systems are custom designed to the logistical
requirements of each application.
SMT has also developed a desktop version that reads and writes to the Smart Test Tube for use in lab and office environments.
