SMT's products are focused in two areas of health care: medical information management (MIM) devices and blood processing instruments.

The MIM technology comprises a set of devices that work together to dramatically enhance the cost-effectiveness and functionality of medical information management in laboratories, hospitals, blood banks and in clinical trials. All MIM products developed by Smart Medical Technologies are fully compatible with existing hospital, pharmacy, laboratory, blood bank, and clinical trial information management systems using UNIX, Microsoft and other operating systems or software, including those relying on optical barcode systems. They offer the potential to integrate distributed systems with enterprise-wise systems, to synchronize and eliminate duplication in workflow, and to simultaneously reduce errors and costs.

SMT’s blood processing instruments provide functional solutions to common obstacles presented in blood donor banks, laboratories, hospitals, and in doctor’s offices. Our blood processing technology encompasses both therapeutic and analytical applications, and serves to increase efficiency while lowering costs. Using novel engineering and innovative design, Smart Medical Technologies is developing techniques in apheresis and serum separation that will offer a viable alternative to technologies currently at work in the medical market, and that will improve patient care and testing reliability in kind.
